I didnt get MUCH from the sale today but i am actually satisfied with the pair of pants i bought for work
It was so crowded i decided to drop the idea of buying loads of clothes since i was feeling a little giddy
But i was glad that at least i got myself something.
the previous night my dad asked me 'SO, you are going to CHIONG tomorrow??' to which i replied a happy YES!
but it seems like i didnt chiong that much after all.
haha.
i didnt see anything nice that i could get for my sis too =(
but i bought her cheese noodles and stationary from taka!

Now that i will be working.
i guess i should take a step back to think before i spend.
during this month which i have been at home,
i spent a lot
i feel that most of my things are wants and not needs.
maybe i should put that Guess watch on hold?
and buy it for myself if i get into uni of manchester or for my christmas pressie?
i think i should work for a few months then start my frequent spending again.
i have to stop my online shopping addiction too
haha

went to cousin's house for fathers day celebration
chats about school, life and work.
i am so happy for cousin that she got a scolarship to australia!!!
congratulations dear =)
she mentioned she will be checking out when the sales are and i can pack my bags to visit her and she will bring me around.
isnt that a great thing?

i was so excited when i saw the ad on the straits times that treetops needed an administrative staff.
I signed up immediately.
innitially i thought i didnt get it, but i got a call yesterday from the HR manager asking me to go down for an interview today.
The place was beautiful.
its actually a 5 star exec residence where expats rent a place to stay.
they have hotel services just that the place is a fully equipped apartment.
I was offered the job but i told her i needed a day to consider.
after discussing about it and thinking hard,i will call her tomorrow to let her know my decision.
i must say i am pretty excited about this position since i would love to work in the hotel industry in the future.
my flight attendent dream...
well well ... its still pretty much on my mind i guess
but lets just say i would like to further my studies first?
that can come a lil later

Funny thing i can access livejournal to post entried but i cannot seem to enter the online shopping sites.
must be because ive browsed those online shopping sites so frequently,
they are so sick of me?
but its kinda sad.
maybe someone is telling me something?

Well looking at the brighter sight of things,
I am shortlisted for a few interviews.
I will be attending 2 tomorrow and hopefully all goes well.
Its kinda sad for me sitting at home everyday not knowing what to do and daydreaming or just playing online games
i know i might be starting school soon if i get accepted but i want to keep my mind going.
staying at home for so long makes me forget stuff.

or maybe i should go out more often since i will have to say bye bye to my social life if i am studying part time and working full time?
well maybe i should stay at home and rest all day long first although it isnt too fun.

but playing games on the computer cant be that bad yeah?

I didnt get to meet alan and gang yesterday cause they couldnt make it =(
how super sad.
So i spent my day shopping at marina and the esplanade!
I bought my L'occitane honey face cream which set me back a whopping $57!!!
fainted.

I absolutely love the honey smell
therefore im really sad its gonna be discontinued.
at least i got one jar

Went for an interview and met up with Lay Yi at tamp =)
Lunch was at my FAVOURITE of all time Ajisen- which have been mad my weekly affair.
I decided that I can save tons of money if i sign up for that Ajisen card since i love the food THAT much.
After that I grabbed a box of popcorn and we watched 'Cronicles of Narnia price caspian'
Okay...
I havent read any of the books nor have I caught the previous movie.
But i must say that I really enjoyed the movie!
My $8.50 was definitely well spent.
The effects and visuals were really good.
But watch if you like lord of the rings and harry potter.
i did not understand parts of the show but that did not make the show any worse to watch,
which was good
I give the show 4 hearts out of 5 =)
It was great fun chatting and shopping with Lay Yi and we must go out sometime again...
haha...
she suggested going cycling or a picnic.

you know...
could not go home empty handed.
SO
i bought a lipgloss from TFS which i hurridly opened as soon as i got home to try.
And boy i tell you the colour is so RED..
that i was staring real hard at myself.

PS. Im still thinking of what to to do with that lipgloss. I think what my cousin said to me is really true 'oh mel, you have only one mouth. How many lipglosses do you need'. To which till now i still have no reply

1. Sent out countless resumes and cover letters
2. Ordered a mascara
3. Ordered a Brush

Today marks the 3rd week of my slack break
Things i did include sleeping, daydreaming, cooking and packing my room.
not bad eh.
Since I had the whole day to myself-again
i decided to get myself into the kitchen to do some cooking instead of going to the mall to get my favourite food.
After 45 mins...
I prepared a meal as well as a dessert =)

Then...
I went on to packing my room and wardrobe
I cleared out a bag of clothes I have not worn or will never wear anymore
& realised.........

*Drumroll
......That I have so many clothes that are brand new and havent worn yet.
All still have their price tags on!
To think i just received another parcel from the mail again
oops
and i did order a few more other items

At last,
i got to the application to the university of manchester.
Now the thing thats left is to wait for the reply from the school.
Apparently, the customer service officer told me this is the most difficult course to get into in SIM
i really hope i will be able to get in.
hard or not,
i will press on no matter how hard the going gets.
the thing that is left now is to look for a job which i can continue in the future if i take up a part time course

Im really glad that my dad is getting on to the idea of letting me study in singapore
this is truly where i hope to be
where all my friends are.
call me a scaredy cat but i do not wish to go out of my comfort zone.
i would love to go overseas for job assignments in the near future,
but please not 2 years alone there.

Dy and I had a really good chat during the one and half hour journey from SIM to hougang and then dinner at ajisen.
we talked about life in general...
and on till we were talking about not believing we will grow old one day,
wear 'ah ma' clothes and get a cute perm and talk about how naughty our grandchildren are...

Oh yes and the trip we have been talking all along - our 21st birthday trip.
shall discuss with rice soon..
i really cant wait!
the besties trip.
it will be so much fun!

ahh..
life...
sometimes i think its hard...
surviving in this world is tough
but then i think about people from other parts of the world.
like those from mynmar and those from the recent earthquake in china
and i always remember how fortunate a girl i am
with a family and friends who are always there for me and always supporting me in life decisions.
and i know that i cannot complain.
i mean what is there for me to complain ya?
i cant believe i sometimes complain about food when some people dont even have food to eat
i cant believe i sometimes complain about not knowing what to wear when my wardrobe is bursting and some people have only a few sets of clothes.
i cant believe i sometimes complain about being so bored with life when others are fighting for their life out there.
there are so many things i complain about...
so many things in life that i take for granted which others might be fighting for.
i am too fortunate...
really

I CANT believe i forgot to bring an important document to SIM and have to go back again today.
The whole journey yesterday took me like 1 & half hours!
I cant imagine working then going to work
Its like living on the bus and having NO LIFE!
But I will do my best,
that i have promised myself.
IF i can get into the course i want that is.
Anyway the good thing is thatI will be meeting Dy for dinner and a longgggg chat tonight
it is so cool sim is beside np and we can go to town together

It was great fun shopping alone again.
This time at orchard...then Singapore expo.
I literally went in and out of shops in orchard empty handed.
I must be crazy but maybe no since the past 2 weeks have been solely dedicated to my shopping and maybe ive combed all the shops and theres nothing more to buy?
ha...
but cant say the same for mango and zara sale!
Okay...
but when i reached expo...
i grabbed lots of goodies
and i spent a total of $80!!!!!!
in one hour...
at least i am happy.
at the rate i am going.
i need a job like now.

The grad ceremony is over.
So yes i have officially graduated.
It was quite a moment yesterday.
I mean after the 3 years of laughter and some tears
All of us stood proud that we have overcome the obstacles and will be starting a new life after graduation.
mixed feelings i guess was what we felt yesterday.
Relievd, happy yet a little sad that we might not get to meet up very often and step into the school we once called second home again.

All of us will part ways
Some to uni,some overseas, some to work full-time.
but to all my friends out there,
i just want to tell you how much i treasure our friendship and how much i love you guys.
You mean so much to me!

I guess the next time we will meet is when we decide on a grad meet up?
or someone's wedding? HEH
Cant wait =)

Friends they come and go
But some stay
through all lifes trials
Through all the ups and downs
Through all the good and bad.
& I am glad to have known some of these people.
People whom I call my true friends =)

This is so irritating.
The contract which i signed is void as the company does not need any more temp admin staff.
So i am out of a job yes
Therefore its only piano & tuition weekly
Currently which i am still actively looking for a job.
I just cant stay at home doing nothing.
I feel so bored after a day.
Staying at home also means spending lots of money.
you know why.

So anyway,
I went lonely shopping on tuesday.
which turned out to be extremely enjoying yet relaxing.
I had lunch alone at ajisen and the noodles at the one at bugis was really good.
so i sat there at the restaurant eating and spending cool time alone.
Then I went shopping at bugis as well as raffles city and suntec city.
The damage was OMG unbelievable.
I realised that I bought so much only after i reached home to examine my buys.
i didnt even dare calculate how much i spent!
but lets just say i dont go shopping everyday and huge purchases once in a while are okay?
okay...who am i kidding right?
ha..

I cant believe i bought so much in a day.

Saturday
4 Hum gathering at the sushi place in cathy.
I didnt eat that much considering the fact that sushi is not my first love.
Half the class turned up and its sooooo good to see all my friends again!
The long chats about life, school and all.
Dinner ended around 9pm after which some of us headed down to the bar for a drink and some singing.
The day ended with 'selegie dou hua' for supper and cabbing home.
heee
We really have to do more of this soon!
Rice, Dy remember our goal of some Taiwan love next year okay?
we really should pack light.

Today
Jaslyn decided to have her piano and tuition lessons on friday so i was free for the whole afternoon.
Time was spent online & dreaming...

Uncle's wedding reception was great.
Weddings always make me so emo.
Ahhhhh....

Today is such a relaxing day which constitutes sitting in front of the computer for 6 hours online shopping.
Jaslyn decided to cancel her piano lessons today since it is mother's day & I am feeling overjoyed since I dont have much time for relaxation as I am working mondays to fridays and giving tuition and piano lessons on sundays.

I ordered a lovely tee for my beloved sister which she chose just now and I am giving it to her as a present for just being my sister =)

Okay...although I am supposed to save some money so that I can have a great time spluging on great stuff during the Great singapore sales which is starting on May 23th (quick thank me for letting you know,haha), I am happily sitting here browsing though tons and tons of websites deciding on what to buy.

I have been so into frills lately and have bought quite a few frilly blouses. But the thing is I saw more and I am planning on ordering a few more pieces maybe tomorrow. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE office wear.

So anyway...
Ive just paid for the tee for my sis and some facial stuff just now.
I am not in a very very happy mood though since I missed out ordering a pretty piece from chalotte russe because I wasnt quick enough to order.

Im going to order the 2 pieces online tomorrow.

Shopping is bliss.

Its so cool 4 humility is going to have a gathering next saturday at this sushi place in orchard.
I really cant wait to meet up with all my lovely secondary school friends to have a great chat.
Honestly its been really such along time.
Call me crazy but the blouse I want to order tomorrow is so that I can wear it to the gathering.
Crazy huh?

And its so cool my uncle's wedding is next sunday & I havent bought something to wear there yet.
haha

& Tony wished me a belated birthday!!
I am so touched and surprised cause we havent talked for so long since I came back from shanghai and he told me he remembers my birthday!

My third day at work was as crazy as the first two.
Work piled up on my table
& my collegue commented it was like a 'pasar malam' at my desk.
But i cant help it, can I?
I have to do sorting...then classifying...then scanning...then combining...then indexing...then validation.
Gosh am I repeating myself?
The only consolation is that time literally flew because i was soooo busy.
Im glad I got full rest from my one hour lunch break.
But this job is really straineous for the eyes.
Ahhhhhh...
My eyes feel so tired and dry after staring at the screen for so long

This week has been confusing and there is so much going through my head.
The things that make me smile are the parcels i receive in the mail.
Moreover, i am going to order 2 more Bb creams.

I ve made up my mind.
There is no turning back.
I hope this will be the right path to take & that I am making the right decisions.
I hope that there will be no regrets

Today marked the first day of my admin job.
gosh..
I had a throbbing headache during midday and almost couldnt concentrate on what i was doing.
I didnt go to the toilet during the working hours and took approximately 3 sips of water.

The job required me to do sorting of documents..
As in a pile as high as mount everest..
removing staple bullets from the millions of documents.
learning a whole new computer program which required me to memorise so many things.

I am actually so afraid of the program least i do something wrong and i dont know what will happen to me then
Since this is such a big company and all.

okay...
i will do my best.
i know i have to...
And look forward to tomorrow

When Abi mentioned that I have makeup/beauty products to last me 108 years.
I actually wonder if this really is true.
So I went to raid my wardrobe of the makeup products + SOME of the beauty products I have to check if they can really last me that long...

I got the job.
& I am felling really thankful & happy..
Its really good that I will not have to stay at home bored for the rest of the i dont know how many months.
I get to wear all the office wear I have!
I just purchased a set of office wear online & am feeling really glad.
Within this week of staying at home,
I have been doing some online shopping.
I have purchased a set of makeup brushes, a set of office wear, a blush and 14 face masks.
See what staying at home being bored does to me.

PS.
Tony just talked to me and mentioned that he might be coming to singapore.
YAY!
HY if you see this...
if he does come to Singapore,lets bring him to all the cool places here okay?

I am seriously so bored at home.
Slacking at home for about 8 days is really enough!
I hope I got the job for the admin staff or I can really die of boredom at home.
My childcare job has officially ended.
I went back yesterday to collect my pay as well as to say bye to my darlings.
The Lina thing really got on my nerves.
And just yesterday when i was there she used a pencil to poke the teacher.
Ahhh...the things she do.
My dad was so angry when I mentioned wanting to go back there to work again.

Little Kai en was so happy to see me.
He does not cry so much now..
And he is starting to talk.
I love the kids so much.
And i stayed for around 2 hours yesterday playing with them.

So now I am sitting in front of my laptop.
Thinking of what i should do today.
The slacking days at home constitute staring at the ceiling, and reading my past series of betty and veronica.
But lucky for now...
i am chatting with alan...
who still is in shanghai working....

Well what i am feeling now is also absolute confusion.
